Thai as a Second Language School (TSL) now provides a course which complies with "Thai Soft Power Activities" DTV category.
Thai course is for any students who seek for learning about Thai cultures and activities and offers a pathway to a long-term stay in Thailand. Discover the magic of Thai traditions, connect with friendly locals, and create unforgettable stay.
The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is for digital nomads, who wish to stay long-term in Thailand while doing Thai culture-related activities. A student must apply for this visa outside the country. It is valid for 5 year with 180 days of stay per entry.
To qualify for this visa:
1. You must have a passport (valid for at least 18 months at the planned date of arrival).
2. You are able to apply for the ED Visa outside the Kingdom of Thailand on the website https://www.thaievisa.go.th/.
3. You must meet all Royal Thai Government requirements. To apply for this visa, you need to provide your photo taken within the last 6 months, document indicating current location (in the country you will apply for the visa) and financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB (for the past 3 months). Student will also need a proof of confirmation from the school.
DTV: Thai Culture and Activities (Soft Power)
Every Saturday, we conduct cultural classes for students to dive deep into Thai cultures, such as cooking, site seeing, handcrafting, Thai traditions, Thai boxing, etc.
*Saturday classes can be varied from 2-3 hours, depending on the topic.

1. Course enrollment
a. Complete the DTV course enrollment form
b. Provide supporting documents to the school as follows:
- Passport copy (Bio Data page and the entry Thailand stamp for the last 2 year)
- Passport photo with white background
c. The enrollment will be completed after students have paid the full amount of tuition fee.
2. Apply for DTV
a. The paperwork preparation will take 7-14 days. The school will prepare the documents and scan the file to the student's email.
b. Student upload files from school along with other requirements to apply for an ED visa on the website. (if apply online)
*The visa takes 2-3 weeks to be approved depending on each Thai Embassy. The student will receive the E-file visa in their email.
3. Start your course
Our new class starts every beginning of the month. Student can contact us when they arrive in Thailand and are ready to start the course.
4. Visa extension
a. The length of stay is 180 days per entry.
b. Student must leave Thailand every 180 days according to the visa condition or do a visa extension at the immigration office.
