Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) — Thai Culture & “Soft Power” Program | TSL Chiang Mai

DTV (Destination Thailand Visa) is a 5-year multiple-entry visa. Each entry allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days, with the possibility of a one-time extension of up to 180 additional days within Thailand.

The DTV is designed for individuals participating in Thai Soft Power Activities, including Thai language and culture, culinary arts, Muay Thai, wellness programs, traditional arts and crafts, cultural festivals, and other learning experiences that promote Thailand’s rich heritage.

Join TSL Chiang Mai Thai Language School and experience our Thai Culture + Thai Language Program, recognized under the DTV Thai Soft Power Activities category.

Our program combines Thai language learning with engaging cultural experiences through weekly Saturday Culture Classes and hands-on workshops. Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, including:

  • Traditional Thai dance workshops
  • Thai cooking and local food experiences
  • Fruit and vegetable carving workshops
  • Thai handicraft and cultural craft workshops
  • Herbal inhaler and herbal compress making
  • Lantern and Lanna flag making workshops
  • Traditional Thai flower arrangement activities
  • Visits to temples, local markets, museums, and cultural landmarks
  • Seasonal Thai festivals and community events
  • Lanna culture and local lifestyle experiences

Every week brings a new opportunity to learn, create, and connect with Thai culture through real-life experiences. Whether you are crafting traditional artwork, exploring historical sites, learning local customs, or enjoying authentic Thai cuisine, our workshops are designed to help you gain a deeper understanding of Thailand beyond the classroom.

At TSL Chiang Mai, every Saturday is filled with learning, friendship, creativity, and cultural discovery—making your time in Thailand both meaningful and memorable.
